Using the tools of Doughnut Economics for Social Entrepreneurship
Doughnut Economics aims to meet the needs of all people within the means of the living planet. To achieve this the business world will need to embrace bold and ambitious solutions that are both regenerative and distributive. As the social enterprise movement already knows, the deep design of businesses plays a central role in this: its purpose, networks, governance, ownership and finance. This workshop will introduce social entrepreneurs and those working with these enterprises to the concepts and community of Doughnut Economics change-makers, and help them use the tools that bring Doughnut Economics into action.

About me
I am an RDIS specialist and project manager in Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovations projects at the Diaconia University of Applied Sciences, where I’ve found my professional home.
I have academic background, working as a Business Development Specialist at the University Innovation Centre. I was responsible for student entrepreneurship, coaching students with business ideas and helping researchers commercialise their results. I’ve run entrepreneurship courses, hackathons, sprints, incubators, and accelerator programs.
I hold an MA in Service Design and am a Doctoral Researcher in Social Entrepreneurship in Arts at the University of Oulu Business School, Kerttu Saalasti Institute. I am interested in society and business design, the future of work, and woman-centric design.
